Principal's Corner - Family Engagement!

Hello Parents and Families,

It is almost testing season, as we prepare for Ohio State Testing! Testing Begins in 37 days!

7th Grade Re-Enrollment continues this week. Parents please complete the 2022-23 SY form if your 7th grade scholar is returning so we can save their 8th grade seat. Be on the lookout for information on National Signing Day coming up this month!

Join us for next week's March STEPP Advisory meeting, on campus or virtually on March 8th and 6:00 p.m. This month's focus topic is "supporting your scholar's success through family engagement and empowerment." We are still looking for campus volunteers and families looking to participate in Teacher Time-Out Week hosted by STEPP next week. Please contact Ms. Teresa Hannah if interested, her email is thanna924@gmail.com.

Teacher appreciation Week is next week March 8-11th! Scholars and families have an opportunity to write notes and record videos of appreciation with Ms. Brewington this week.

Yours In Education,

Ms. K. Brewington

From Our Office

Scholars can't learn if they aren't in school.

Last Week (Feb 21-25) our attendance percentages were:

82.6% Overall

84% for 8th Graders

81% for 7th Graders

Congratulations 7th graders for raising attendance to 81% this past week! We are aiming for our overall attendance average to reach greater than 90% for the rest of the year!

Uniforms and Dress Code

Dress code violations are in decline this week, please remind your scholars not to wear hoods on their head in the building. If students are written up for repeated violating dress code policy, they will be sent home for the day.

Cell Phones and Devices

Students are given a reminder during daily morning announcements to put away electronics and cell phones in lockers. If students are found to still have their devices, it will be a suspension.

In order to promote a safe, healthy and academically focused learning environment at Napoleon scholars must comply with our school procedures and policies. Due to numbers of available staff and space constraints, In School Suspension (ISS) is not an option at this time. All suspensions will be Out of School Suspensions (OSS).

A few reminders:

  • Kickboard is our Positive Behavior Support System. Please download the App! Email Ms. Brewington direction for login information.

Parents and A+ Families, we need your support! We are recruiting available guardians and family to volunteer on campus. Volunteer time slots between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will vary depending on volunteer's schedule available. Please contact Ms. Brewington if interested. It takes a village to raise and support our scholars!

For all transportation issues and needs call 614-365-5074. Questions about the compliance monitoring system may be directed to the Office of Field Services and Transportation at TransportationCompliance@education.ohio.gov.

For technology support please email napoleonloginhelp@aplusarts.com. All students know their log-in information, but if there are any issues please let us know. Parents may log in to scholar accounts at anytime online or through the Google Classroom app.

As we move into Testing Season the main office is in need of the following donations:
