- · ACT Enhancement Strategies (time management, practice material availability, examples from each area, scoring procedures, anxiety management, and realistic goals)
- · Specific strategies to pose questions/problems that focus on ACT content.
- · Ways to take the ACT environment and integrate into the classroom.

· Become knowledgeable about the effective use of contracts and anchor activities to extend student learning
· Using Ohio’s New Learning Standards, learn how to differentiate curriculum content lessons/units so the learning needs of the gifted and other students are met
· Review commercially developed curriculum materials for the gifted
· Develop differentiated lessons for use in the classroom

MVESC Superintendents, Curriculum Directors, Principals and the MVESC Leadership Team meet Steven Newman, the first person documented to walk solo around the world. In 1983, the journalist set out from his Bethel, Ohio, home and traversed five continents and over 20 countries in four years. Steven is the author or co-author of three books, he has given over 2,300 speeches to universities, schools, churches, companies, and other groups. Steven continues his travels as he is just returned from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Come and listen to the inspiring stories of Steven's travels. He will be speaking about the world as he saw it and dealing with the unexpected.
