National Bullying Prevention Month

What is this?

This student newsletter will be sent to students every Monday afternoon to highlight important announcements and happenings. If you have suggestions for items you would like to see included, please email Ms. Wright at

If you care about safe and supportive schools and communities make your color ORANGE on Unity Day. That’s the day everyone can come together—in schools, communities, and online — and send one large ORANGE message of support, hope, and unity to show that we are united against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

Things to KNOW


  • 20th - Bus Evacuation & Rotation 1 Ends
  • 21st - Unity Day --All students and staff wear ORANGE
  • 21st - No LATE BUSES
  • 21st - Wednesday will be a Tuesday/Friday schedule
  • 23rd - Student vs Faculty Soccer Game - 3 to 4pm
  • 23rd - Benefit Movie Night 6:30 to 8:30pm

Get Involved!

Student Council will hold its next meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, in room 302 from 3-4. Come be part of an exciting group of King Philip Student Leaders. Help us as we plan our first big school wide event. Please see Mrs. Schilberg with any questions. New members always welcome.

Did you know . . .

Breakfast is available every morning in your cafeteria! Starting at 7:40 A.M., students can come to the cafeteria for a nourishing breakfast to start their day for only $1.25! The cafeteria serves a variety of hot and cold choices including cereal with a yogurt cup or hard-boiled egg, fruit breads, and rotating hot choices including hot breakfast sandwiches, mini pancakes, and egg & cheese wraps. Students may choose one or two fruits and a carton of milk, all included with the meal. Please join us for breakfast!

Allie's Mitzvah Movies

Do you have any G, PG, or PG-13 movies in your house lying around in drawers that you don’t watch anymore? Support a KP student's desire to support Kid Flicks, a non-profit organization created by four sisters in California, collects donated dvd movies from all over the United States and sends them to children’s hospitals and medical facilities, 100 movie libraries at a time. Allie will personally deliver one movie library to a children’s hospital in Connecticut. Please place your movies in a box in front of the main office labeled “Allie’s Mitzvah Movies” where the movies and any monetary donations made out to Kid Flicks could be dropped off. Collections will be take every Thursday through November 5th. Let's help her reach her goal of 1,000!

7/8 Grade Students vs Faculty Soccer Game Fundraiser

Join us for some fun and come to the 7/8 Grade Students vs Faculty Soccer Game on Friday, October 23 from 3:00 to 4:00PM. Students and staff have paid to participate in this event to raise funds for the Cairn Garden. Donations are welcome.

Benefit Movie Night

The KP XC Team presents "MCFARLAND USA" on Friday, October 23rd at 6:30pm in the KP auditorium. Admission is free and snacks will be sold. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to support the Ennis Family. Ms. Wendy Ennis, KP teacher and XC parent is currently battling duodenal cancer. The KPXC Team wishes to donate the proceeds from the night to support Ms. Ennis and her three children as they focus on Ms. Ennis's recovery.
