Driver’s education classes are now open for registration.

The NHS band program took 11 students to Solo and Ensemble Music Performance Adjudication this past Saturday. The students performed solos and in small groups and received superior and excellent ratings. Our next performance will be our spring concert on May 26th at 6:30pm.
NHS Dance Show is this Friday, May 13th at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:30 and tickets are $5.00 for ages 5 and up. Come out and support the dancers as they Dance through the Decades! There will also be a surprise featuring some of NHS staff members!
Onslow County Schools Division of Career and Technical Education will be hosting a High School Senior Job Fair on Tuesday, May 17th from 3-5 PM at The American Legion Building. Over 30 employers with open positions that require a high school diploma will be in attendance. Positions will be full time and part time. Encourage your high school senior to see their Career Development Coordinator, Mrs. Kim Morton in room 501 for more information on creating a resume, presenting himself/herself, improving interviewing skills, and a lesson on creating their personal elevator pitch. Resume and Cover letter needs to be reviewed by Mrs. Kim Morton in order to receive the required ticket to attend this event.

Students in Culinary and Foods classes assisting with the ROTC awards food preparation/dinner, need to stop by the outside of Ms. Storm's door on Monday to see if they are working it and what they should bring to wear for the prep day (May 10th) and Awards day (May 11th).
All girls lacrosse team members need to turn in their uniform, goggles, and penny to Coach Turner by the end of the week

Any graduating senior who has passed any of the Microsoft Office Certification Exams and wants to purchase cords for graduation must see Mrs. D. Johnson in Room 503 during Power Hour A one day this week. Without going through the verification and payment process cords will not be available. Take care of this as soon as possible. The last day for you to pay is Monday, May 9th.
This years Prom theme is Hollywood! So gentlemen get your suites and ties, Ladies get your formal dresses ready to go before May 21st. Prom will be from 7p.m to 11p.m. Prom tickets are on now $40 for a single and $70 for couples. Come purchase them in room 505, Ms. Carden and room 507 Ms. Goynes.
Prom Gift Basket Raffle – Tickets are $1.00 and can be purchased in the front office.
Any senior athlete who has played 2 sports and has at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for the C.U.P. Scholarship. A $500 scholarship will be given to one female athlete and one male athlete who satisfy the scholarship qualifications. See Coach Buchanan or Mrs. Barbee for an application today! The deadline to turn in applications is Friday May 13th so don’t wait until the last minute
Any senior, that is a member of the National Math Honor Society, that is interested in a cord for graduation, see Mr. Gabbert. Cost of the cord is $5.00. The last day to purchase a cord is Wednesday, May 11.
National Honor Society Seniors remember to turn in your stole order forms and fee to Mrs. Johnson in room 503. All service hours and service projects are due at the next meeting on May 10th. Those running for office should have their speeches prepared.
