Building Access
At this time, no students or families are allowed to access the campus. Textbooks and other materials are not accessible.
Parent Guidance for Viewing Student Progress
With recent policy changes to our grading practices during remote learning, traditional progress reports generated through Pinnacle will not reflect how we are measuring progress and determining mastery for the 4th Nine Weeks grading period. We want to make sure there is common understanding behind what you will see in the gradebook. During this time, you will notice either MS, NM, or a blank instead of the number grades you typically would see. Please visit the document below for an explanation of what each grade means and for instructions on accessing student grades online.
Student Item Pick-up Request
Our administrative team is working to develop a procedure for student drop-off and pick-up of school items. More information will be forthcoming, but we will plan this process for the Week of May 18th (specific dates and times to be announced). In order to help us plan for pick-up of needed items that are currently located within the school, please take a few minutes to complete the following forms with your child.
- If your child uses his/her locker, complete this form: https://tinyurl.com/jhslockers
- If your child has belongings located in the school other than in a locker, please complete this form: https://tinyurl.com/jhsother
We ask that you please complete these forms by 5:00 pm on Monday, May 11th.
Please be advised that parents and students will not be allowed access to our building. Your completion of the above forms will help us assist your child in obtaining their belongings while maintaining the safety of our community.
Medication Pick-up
Medication pickup will take place with Nurse Dottie on Tuesday, May 19th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
If your student has over the counter pain relievers, allergy medicine or other 'as needed' medicine in the clinic, and you want to pick it up, please email dottie.jordan@pisd.edu before 5/18/20.
If you plan to pick up any medicine on Tuesday, 5/19/20:
- drive to the north entrance of the building (by the flagpole), stop at the portico, and open your trunk.
- Have your student's name written in bold print on a sheet of paper and hold it up to the window on the front passenger side of the car.
- A paper bag with your student's name and enclosed medicine will be placed in your trunk or the back seat of your car by the nurse.
AP Exams
The College Board has released a Testing Guide with comprehensive information regarding accessing and submitting online AP exams. Students will receive an AP ID and testing e-ticket via email 2 days prior to each exam, and students should verify their email address on My AP at myap.collegeboard.com. Be sure to practice using the testing demo at http://cb.org/apdemo.
Please see below for the calendar of AP exams for Jasper HS courses.
Computer Science Principles:
There will be no multiple-choice exam in Computer Science Principles–the AP Exam score will be computed from the Create and Explore Performance Tasks. The deadline for submission of Performance Questions in the Digital Portfolio to the College Board is May 26 at 10:59 p.m. However, to allow teachers time to review uploaded files, students will need to submit all Create PT files by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Please note the additional Computer Science Principles info that you have previously received from your CSP teacher.

Moving This Summer?
Are you planning to move over the summer? If you don’t think you’ll be attending school in Plano ISD in August, please complete a “Next Year Notification” form. Please email the form to Petra.Morgan@pisd.edu by May 22nd.
If you are moving to another location within Plano ISD attendance boundaries, you must have an approved transfer to return to Jasper in August. If you have already moved and have not updated your address with Jasper, please provide a current gas or electricity bill to the Counseling office as soon as possible so that we can update your address. Jasper High School mail will be delivered during the summer and we want to be certain that it is being sent to the correct address.
Dual Credit: Deadline June 1st
The deadline for Dual Credit online registration and tuition payment for Fall 2020 is June 1st.
Fall 2020 class registration is now open for students that have applied to Collin and completed permission forms with their counselor. Students may be exempted from the requirement to take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI-A). This exemption would be noted on the ‘Collin Permission Form’ that students received from their counselors.
For students needing the TSI-A exam, this requirement has been temporarily waived for the current registration period. These students will be required to take the TSI-A by October 16, 2020 even with this waiver.
