Principal's Message
I cannot believe we have already wrapped up our second week of the 22-23 school year. Time flies when you are having fun! Thank you for your support as we kick off the new year.
If you are interested in having lunch with your student this year, we will allow this to begin the week of September 5th. We ask that you inform the teacher in advance when possible so they can ensure seating is available. Visitors must sign in at the front office using your state ID or driver's license. You will not be admitted without this item. When entering the cafeteria you may only sit with your child. Your child may not bring over friends.
If you are providing treats for your student's class, please provide unopened store bought items with the label clearly in tact. We will not accept homemade goodies in an attempt to honor student allergies.
We hope to see you at the Dreher Cluster Parent Pep Rally next week! More information is included within this newsletter.
Our Meet the Teacher Night is September 1st from 5:00 - 7:00pm. More information is included within this newsletter.
Have a wonderful weekend!

STAR BENCHMARK ASSESSMENTS
Parents/Guardians,
Your child will take the Renaissance Star test this year. The first testing window opens Aug. 22 and closes Sept. 2. This means your child's teacher can administer the test anytime during this window so some students may have tested by the time you see this newsletter. Below is a link to help you better understand the test and how the results will be used.

If you ever have any questions about Star or the results, you may contact your child's teacher or CRT, Kellie Romanstine, for more information at kellie.romanstine@richlandone.org.

National Immunization Awareness Month
August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM). This annual observance highlights the importance of getting recommended vaccines throughout your life. We know the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all aspects of life, including your ability to attend important appointments and receive routine vaccinations. During NIAM, we encourage you to talk to your doctor, School Nurse, or healthcare provider to ensure you and your family are protected against serious diseases by getting caught up on routine vaccination.
