The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime

Initial Investigation

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon is the story of a 15 year old, highly intelligent, autistic boy named Christopher who finds it difficult to interact "normally" in the world. Changes to his routine and a sudden violent death of a neighbor's dog leads him to investigate in the style of his favorite detective, Sherlock Holmes. His investigation leads him to uncomfortable truths about himself, his family, his few friends, and the life he currently leads. His journey leads him to experience the unknown while at the same time giving us insight into the often-unknown experiences of an autistic young adult.
