Update For Intermediate Families From Principal Gene Hoskins
25 Week Interim Period Reflections, February Students of the Month Video, March Spirit Week Plans, and other Updates
This week's Intermediate School News update has information on 25 Week Interim student reflections, the Read 20 initiative, March Spirit Week plans, and the February Students of the Month video.
No School This Friday, March 12: Reminder to parents that this Friday, March 12 is a Superintendent's Conference Day. There will be no school for students as all staff members will be doing professional development.
"Virtual Hangout" Student Social Event Sponsored By Intermediate Student Council: This Friday, March 12, from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM our Intermediate School Student Council is sponsoring a "Virtual Hangout" through Google Meet. This will be an opportunity for students to connect socially through a virtual meet. It will be chaperoned by school adults who will be joining virtually as well. Students will be able to access the meet by going to Meet.google.com and using the keyword ISHangout.
25-Week Interim Student Reflections: This coming Thursday is the end of the 25th week of school. Next week, March 15-19, students will be completing 25-week reflections on their academic progress and setting goals for the remainder of the third quarter of school. We anticipate these reflections being mailed to parents by the end of the day on Monday, March 22.
Spartan Day & Spirit Week of Coming!!: Our March Spirit Week is planned for next week March 15 - March 19. It is shaping up to be a very fun week, culminating with our 1st Annual Spartan Day on Friday, March 19. The days are scheduled as follows:
- Monday, March 15 - "Wear As Many Colors As You Can Day"
- Tuesday, March 16 - "Polka Dot Day"
- Wednesday, March 17 - "Everyone's a Leprechaun Day"
- Thursday, March 18 - "Show Your Stripes Day"
- Friday, March 19 " - "Spartan Day"
More information will be shared with students this week for next week's March Spirit Week!
Parent Drug Awareness Presentation by Deputy Fitzgerald: Our School Resource Officer, Wayne County Deputy Fitzgerald with be joining our virtual Intermediate School Improvement Team meeting on Wednesday, March 17 at 4:00 PM. Deputy Fitzgerald will be presenting important information to parents on recognizing use drug promotion to kids. We hope you will be able to join our Intermediate School Improvement Team meeting next Wednesday, March 17 using the meeting following link: https://meet.google.com/mpc-vrts-sfa?authuser=0
