Harvest Day (Halloween)
Extra Help for Students Available on Mondays
We wanted to provide some support to students on Monday. Their live time with their classroom teacher ends at 10:45 on Monday, and students will be assigned work to complete on their own for the rest of the day. Therefore, on Mondays only, we have designated our teaching assistants to run virtual study halls from 12:00-1:30. On your classroom teacher’s canvas page, you will see zoom links for these study halls for your child to access. The study halls will be grade level specific, so your children will only see faces from their grade level. If your student wants extra help, they can just pop in where an adult will be waiting! We hope this will be helpful for your children!
Revised LC Book Checkout Procedures
The Elmwood Learning Commons is excited to offer checkout for library books! This means you can check out books to take home and read in a safe manner. We are offering books to ALL grade levels. The link right here will be the revised book check out plan whether we are in-person, remote, or some sort of combination of both it is our hope that this plan will still apply.

Box Tops for Education
Please remember to keep scanning in your Box Tops to earn $ for Elmwood! Check out the exciting news about how to get Box Top credit for online shopping and grocery pickup. Do you have any unexpired traditional paper Box Top clips to turn in? Contact Laura Viscito at elmwoodhands@gmail.com for details.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Buy participating products (such as: Lysol, Nestle, Annies, Cheerio’s, Old El Paso, Nature Valley, Paper Mate, Pillsbury, and many more!) and use the Box Tops mobile app to scan your store receipt. DOWNLOAD IT TODAY! LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW BOX TOPS WORKS AT BTFE.COM

Teacher Appreciation Committee Updates
Our teacher appreciation committee has been busy since the beginning of the school year making all the teachers and staff feel special and appreciated during this hectic time. We have worked with the school to follow district safety protocols. A few things we’ve provided: A healthy individually wrapped back to school lunch to each teacher during their planning institute day at the beginning of the year. “Teacher Survival Treat” bags for teachers to enjoy throughout conferences. October was also National Custodian’s Day and we treated our hard working Custodial Staff Superstars to Dunkin Donuts and gift cards. Stay tuned for more information on how to help show teacher/staff appreciation!
