The Sun
The sun is a big, ball, of burning gas. The sun's temperature is 5,500 degrees Celsius. The sun is a yellow dwarf planet.
Moon
The Moon controls the tides on Earth. The Moon has craters. The craters were formed by meteors pounding on the Moon's surface.
Shadows
When the sun is at its highest point in the sky (Noon), shadows are the shortest. Shadows change size through out the day. Shadows are longest in the afternoon.
Earth's Movement
The Earth rotates and revolves around the sun. The Earth rotates on its axis. Unlike most other planets, there is life on Earth.
