Time for School!
7:30 Jackson Street gate and doors open, students enter for temperature checks
7:45 All students report to the classroom, prepare for the day, breakfast begins and is served in the classroom (This is the BEST time to arrive to school. It gives your student plenty of time to prepare for the day.)
8:10 Students begin to clean up and prepare to start instruction, all teachers are present in the building.
8:30 The tardy bell rings.
If you are dropping your student off at 8:25, please consider whether or not this is adequate time to unpack belongings, eat breakfast, and join the class for the morning meeting at 8:30. An early start helps students be ready for the day. No one wants to feel rushed or unprepared. Help your child start the school day in a positive way by being EARLY. Thank you!
Counselor Connection
Hello Jackson Families,
In September, we shared with families that we now have a full time Camelot Therapist who can see students who may need regular, on-going counseling. I asked Megan to share a little about herself so that our parents can get to know her! Please read all about Ms. McReynolds below.
If your child has a counseling need, please call the School Counselor, Marla Morrison at 378-2252 to get referrals for school-based Camelot Counseling.
Thank you!
Marla Morrison
Jackson Elementary School Counselor
Meet Ms. McReynolds!
Hello all! My name is Megan McReynolds and I am the new full-time Camelot therapist for Jackson Elementary School! I will be available Monday through Friday during school hours to provide Camelot’s School-Based therapy services. A little about me is that I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Services and a Master’s degree in Social Work. My favorite things to do are spend time with my family, take road trips (when we are not in a pandemic), and watch sports. I am very excited to join the Jackson family and cannot wait to see what the year brings!
