Participants in the Gala select from a list of book choices, check out the book from the MLCHS Library, and have about 6 weeks to read the book. On the afternoon of the Gala, all seniors meet in the MLCHS Library for refreshments, and then students will break into their book discussion groups. The Senior Reading Gala is a tradition at Collins High School, and is an event that is enjoyable and enriching for all participants. Book Selection Day will be on Friday, March 2nd , so all seniors should be at school in order to get the book of their choice.
