Nominated by: Trejo, Amos, T. Henry, Stogner
Da’Metric is always on task, always respectful, and always doing his best. He is a role model for other students and a delight in the classroom. I can always count on Da’Metric to follow directions and be helpful to other students. He sets a great example and makes Lee Intermediate a better place! (Stogner)
Not only is he an awesome kid that keeps himself on task and respectful, but he is a natural and humble leader that other kids follow. He is always encouraging to other students to correct behaviors in an uplifting and respectful way. (Amos)
He is a great leader in PLTW and always comes to class ready to work. (Trejo)
I am so proud to have this young man in my homeroom and he definitely deserves this award! He is one of those students who always does the right thing with grace and humility. He represents what we value in our Lee students and at GISD, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things he'll do in the future! (T. Henry)

Nominated by: S. Henry
He is a great student. Over the last semester I have witnessed him grow and achieve goals he has set for himself. He always puts forth his best effort. He is extremely kind and compassionate towards everyone around him. I think he is the perfect example of a student with a good work ethic and a kind heart. I am confident he will do great things and he deserves this recognition.

9 Ways to Cultivate Courage in Kids by Dr. Michele Borba
Part 4 of 9
Encourage your kids to share their acts of bravery. Learning to be brave takes practice, so encourage your children to do something courageous every day, like introducing themselves to someone new, inviting a new classmate to play or standing up for a peer. Then take time to focus on their courageous breakthroughs. One dad I spoke with had his kids list their “brave successes” on paper strips, then stapled the strips together to make “courage chains.” A mom I talked to had her kids to share their brave deeds at dinner time.
Give a Leopard a High Five!
The Leopard High Five program is a way for you to salute any Gainesville ISD employee who goes above and beyond what is expected. Whether you are a parent impressed with that special touch your child's teacher added to a moment, or you are a co-worker who thinks the campus PEIMS clerk doesn't hear often enough about the great job she is doing, you can send a Leopard High Five! Nominations can be made by any parent, student, community member, or co-worker and any employee within Gainesville ISD is eligible to receive a High Five. Give lots of High Fives to anyone who has positively impacted your child at school!
The link is located on our website and is always open for nominations.
