Thank you to everyone who came out to our tours of the school on Saturday! It was amazing to see all the future Polar Bears and their families!

If you were not able to attend, don't worry! We will have dates in June, July, and August for families to visit the school again! Details about those dates will be in next week's Padilla Post!

Also, look out for more Informational Meetings happening in June, July, and August. Those will also be in next week's Padilla Post!

Finally, you probably noticed the awesome new yard signs popping up around the neighborhood and pictured below! If you want one, look for details in next week's Padilla Post as well. We would love to get one of those to every family coming to Padilla next year!

Big picture

Meet the Padilla Staff!

Meet 4th Grade Teacher - Ms. Jordan Harder!

Hi, my name is Jordan Harder, I was born in Littleton, Colorado and have lived here my whole life. I love watching hockey, hiking, camping, spending time with friends and family, and manatees are my favorite animal. I adopted a puppy named Indie last summer and I enjoy taking her to new dog parks! I also coach Girls on the Run.

During my teaching career, I have taught first-fourth grade. I got the special opportunity to loop with my first class for three years. I have worked in 27J for one year and am so excited to welcome 4th grade Polar Bears!

In my classroom, I encourage student centered learning. I aim to create a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom. I want all students to believe they can meet their goals through hard work and perseverance. I am thrilled to help build the culture and community at Padilla Elementary!

Meet 4th Grade Teacher - Mrs. Sam Richardson!

Hi there! My name is Samantha Richardson and I am a 4th grade teacher at Padilla. I am very excited to be a part of the new school, and all of the opportunities that we have coming up!

I grew up in Colorado, and moved to Texas to attend college. I graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi. I went on to teach in Texas for 8 years.

After moving back to Colorado I continued teaching, bringing that grand total to 16 years! I also obtained my Masters in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, graduating cum laude. I love teaching and working with children. I love watching them get excited about learning, figuring out problems, and making sense of complex work. I love inspiring future readers and mathematicians and being part of a community of teachers and students who love having fun and working hard.

My husband and I have two boys and two puppies who keep me busy! I love reading, going on vacations with my family, laughing and playing with my kids, and doing crafty projects. I also love spending my summers outdoors, barbequing with family and friends, and playing games! I look forward to meeting our Padilla students and families, see you in August future Polar Bears!
