Meta-Lesson Planning (December 19th)
This workshop is designed for content-area and special education teachers who are interested in maintaining lesson rigor while considering learner variability. We will apply research-based instructional strategies, which complement the New York State curriculum, as well as other Common Core Standards-aligned curricula. Register for Workshop
Teaching S.S. in Conjunction with ELA Modules (K-5) (January 16th)
This workshop is designed for teachers using ELA modules who are interested in teaching social studies aligned with the content specific modules. This workshop will use the Social Studies Framework as well as the ELA Modules that are Social Studies content based to enhance learning in both subjects through inquiry. Register for Workshop
Adapting/Scaffolding Curriculum (3-8 ELA) (January 28th)
This workshop is designed for general education and special education teachers using ELA modules and are interested in adapting module curriculum for student’s individual needs. This will also focus on scaffolding the module lessons in a way that is conducive to setting students up for success in subsequent modules and units. Register for Workshop
About Christine Barth
I have been in an elementary setting for the last 9 years. During that time I was a Consultant Teacher, Elementary Science Specialist, 3rd Grade Teacher. During that time I have worked with Common Core Standards and modules as well as modifying work for students. I am currently a Staff Development Specialist at Erie@BOCES. I am originally from Central NY and moved to Western NY 9 years ago. I am the mother of a very busy 2 year old.
