Capturing the Impact of the Write for Texas Initiative

Instructional coaches employed by Education Service Centers (1-20) and seven Texas National Writing Project sites are at the heart of Write for Texas. Since 2014, these regional staff have promoted and supported academic writing instruction in grades 6-12 in almost 350 schools across Texas.

Success Stories from a Literacy Initiative recognizes the work of these coaches, showcasing the breadth and depth of work happening locally and statewide. The collection serves to document highlights of the work by each Write for Texas site, as well as to inform and inspire other educators to adopt similar practices.
