Principal's Message
Mark your calendars for a fun afternoon for the whole family. The Oster Harvest Festival is back Saturday, October 22nd, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. We will have our famous 5th grade Haunted House, carnival games, cake walk, First Responder touch-a-truck, obstacle course, and much more! Visit osterhsc.org/store to purchase your wristbands at $20 each or your separate game and food tickets. You will also receive a paper order form in your Wednesday envelope.
Please keep an eye on your email and Wednesday envelopes for how you can donate to the cake walk and carnival prizes and how you and your kids can sign up to help at the festival. This is a FUN event for the community and a great FUNDRAISER sponsored and funded by Oster's Home and School Club. Please consider donating, as they need your help to make it a success!
Haunted House Help is Needed! The Haunted House is a rite of passage for 5th grade. Families get to help with the construction of the Haunted House, and students get to work shifts as "scarers" during the Harvest Festival. Follow this link for more details!
Highlighting Oster Staff
Every few weeks I will be highlighting a Oster Staff Member. This week I would like to introduce Mr. Thomas, Oster's Mental Health Therapist.
Mr. Thomas joined the Oster staff last year and quickly became a favorite staff member among our students. He can often be found playing games with kids or just hanging with students and conversing with them during recess and lunch. His favorite thing about Oster is the different students he gets to work with every day. His family currently consists of his beagle dog Bobby McGee and cat Linkin. In his free time, he likes to spend time at any body of water and traveling! Also, he enjoys time with his siblings, parents, and friends. One of the many supports Mr. Thomas provides is a social lunch bunch group which is open to all students every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Oster's Makerspace. All students are welcome to join and don't need an appointment. They are welcome to drop in, play a game, or have a conversation with the wonderful, kind, and caring Mr. Thomas.
If you have questions about Oster's Lunch Social Groups Contact Mr. Thomas
