Wednesday's presentation
I hope you enjoyed listening to Karen Haase on Wednesday at Johnny Carson Theater. She is always good to listen to and has a ton of stories. So many times, I think people who get sanctioned or fired for social media blunders are a small minority, but if that's the case, why does Karen Haase have so many stories to illustrate her points?
I want you sharing the good news about Montessori, whether that's through Facebook, Twitter, Remind, Instagram, Tumblr (even though I'm not quite sure what Tumblr is!). Our parents and community need to know how AWESOME we are (check out the video below to remind yourselves about being awesome!).
I would like you to remember Karen's presentation when posting, though. Stay away from "frustration posts" and any post after two cocktails is probably not a good idea!
MIckie's Newsletter
Check out the link below to the Panther Tech Newsletter that Mickie Mueller sent out on Monday. The Tech PD opportunities she and Becky Miller have set up look very good! I am planning on attending "Digitize you Paper Resources" on Feb. 28 and "Show What You Know--Student Choice Boards" on March 28. Looks like great info AND you receive Professional Development Points for attending!
The "Lesson Plan Tool for Docs" article also looked interesting. Anyone use that yet?
Tweet of the Week
Saw this on my twitter feed today. Always be aware of the circumstances that surround our students.
Article of the Week!
I was asked to read this and respond at tomorrow's (Friday's) Building Leadership Team meeting at Central Office. I really enjoyed this article and it reminded me of the times I've been able to give students a choice and a time when Jill allowed her students to give themselves an assigned place to sit (first time EVER!)
