ELM Band Shows Excellence
The highly respected ELM Band, lead by Mr. John Academia, received an 'Excellent' for their performance in the recent Ensemble Festival held at Chula Vista High. Congratulations! ELM Displays Unity at the Sweetwater Unified Games
Teacher Austin Legg took a cadre of students to the SUHSD Unified Games last month. The Unified Games goal is to include all students in athletics, and to focus on inclusion and egagement of all students, giving special needs and non-special needs students an arena to develop positive, friendly relationships. The athletes representing ELM were: Garrett Boles, Sebastian “Turbo” Camalich, Jesus Gonzalez, JesusBryan Mendoza, and Diego Gonzalez. Volunteering as Unified Partners were: Lauren Swisher, Philip Howard, Blake Boelter, Ryan Duarte, and Jayden Bibles.

Mr. Horner (left) joined the Eastlake Middle Administration after having served as the Coordinator of Intervention Services at Eastlake High School. He brought a wealth of talent as well as great enthusiasm for supporting our students. Mr. Horner will be moving on to another assignment next year, but we certainly appreciated his time here at ELM!
