A Word of Thanks
You are making a difference.
This school year we have 178 days to make a difference in the lives of our students. We are nearly 70 days into the school year, and on this day, I wanted to take a few moments to tell each of you how much your work is appreciated. You are making a difference. Honestly, this school year has been nothing short of amazing.
This is the work that we are called to do—to prepare our students for life and career success. As I have visited schools and classrooms, I have seen the successes—large and small—you have achieved this year in the effort to seek excellence for our community’s children.
It is fitting, too, because this week is also American Education Week, a time to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. Please know that your work is not going unnoticed; others in the community have taken note and new opportunities are presenting themselves to our system because of the collective work we are doing.
As we prepare for Thanksgiving Break—a time to reflect and recharge—I wish you every happiness and thank you for your service.
Sincerely,
Mike Daria, Ed.D
