TCCA 2015 - Technology and Curriculum Conference of Aldine

TCCA is Aldine Independent School District's annual technology and curriculum integration conference. Each year, vendors and speakers are brought in from all over the country to showcase the latest and greatest technology and instructional resources.

TCCA emphasizes the integration of curriculum and technology for better teaching and learning. We offer several strands for technology integration by motivating and educating teachers, administrators, and instructional technology specialists nationwide.

Keynote: Jennie Magiera

As an Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Teacher and Chicago Public School's 2012 Tech Innovator of the Year, I have been exploring ways to redefine education through effective technology use. In 2010, I began implementing a 1:1 iPad technology grant. I did my best to leverage these devices to improve assessment practices and increase differentiation. In 2011, I oversaw an expansion of this grant to 9 other classrooms in our building. Now I continue to explore how to use iPads, Chromebooks and other 1:1 devices to increase student metacognition skills, problem solving and creativity.
