Home and School is organizing a special Thanksgiving Lunch for our students on Monday, November 20th. To make this event even more special for the students, we would like to keep it a surprise! Parents, please note: This year, our Thanksgiving Break will begin on Wednesday, November 22. We will have a regular school day on Monday, November 20, and an Asynchronous Learning Day on November 21 due to Interim Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Ms. Margo is giving away 10 FREE TICKETS for students who would like to attend the premier of her movie, Overwhelming Baggage, this Saturday night! The free tickets will be given to the first 10 families that email info@ephesusjracademy.org. An adult ticket MUST be purchased in order to claim a free ticket. Proceeds from this movie will go to support Ephesus Junior Academy! FMI, please see the flyer.

Reminder: Students who would like hot lunch need to bring the money with them and pay in the school office by 8:30 that morning. Important: Students need to inform their classroom teacher if they will be receiving lunch, so that we can send the order to the daycare on time, even if you have already paid on CashApp. We will accept Cash, Check, or CashApp payments. Students may also purchase pre-paid lunch cards from the office. The November menu is included below.

Price Change: Foundations Learning Academy has informed us of a slight price increase for lunches this year. It will now be $4 per meal.

This month's Home and School Meeting has been rescheduled to next Thursday, November 16. We will send more information next week. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Mrs. Rollins, our Home and School Leader at (804) 822-2046. Thank you for your understanding!

Save the date!! EJA will be presenting our Christmas Program once again this year at the Ephesus SDA Church on Saturday Evening, December 9th. There will be singing, acting, narration, and more! All of our students will be participating, so please plan to attend and invite your family and friends. We will share more details soon.

Imagination Zone continues next week! We are excited to welcome guests from the Richmond Humane Society to teach the students about pet care on Monday. Parents, please be aware: they will be bringing a dog with them to help enhance the lesson.

All students are welcome to join in on the afterschool fun at the Imagination Zone! We just ask that you let us know in advance so we can plan properly. Pre-registration is required for all afterschool programming. For clubs that require a fee, payment must be made in advance by 8:00 the previous evening.

All Imagination Zone activities are scheduled from 3:00-5:00. Students will eat snack first, then the program will begin at 3:30. Please pick up your student promptly at 5:00. Any student remaining after the program, will be sent to aftercare and charged the regular rate.

Our 6th-8th graders had so much fun at Outdoor School this year. They spent 3 days learning in nature on the beautiful grounds of Mt. Aetna Camp in Maryland. Our students joined with other schools in the conference for this experience. Some of the activities included: Nature Center (studying animals from all around the world), Group Rope Challenge (High/Low ropes), Worship: Morning & Evening, Challenge Courses, Night Hiking, and Campfires.
