A Note From the Principal

Can you believe that October is right around the corner? Time sure does fly when you are having fun! Our first quarter will be coming to an end on October 12, 2018. Our parent/teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 24, from 4:30 - 8:00 pm, and on Thursday, October 25, from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Report cards will be shared with you at the parent/teacher conferences and also emailed to you on October 19 as well. Thank you to the entire Wabash community for modeling and expecting excellence! Our students are off to a wonderful start this year. Let's keep our students focused on excellence in academics and character.

LATE START SUPERVISION

2018-19 LATE STARTS and SUPERVISION...The WSD will once again be providing supervision for K-6 students who need to be dropped off at the regular start time on scheduled Late Start Days in the 2018-19 school year. This is separate from our Before Care Program through Chautauqua, so if you are registered for Chautauqua, please DO NOT register for Late Start Supervision.

The fee for students in grades K-6 is $10 per child for each late start day you would like to register for. (Middle and high school students may still be dropped off at the regular start time and there is no fee for that supervision and no need to register).

Please fill out the Registration Form: https://goo.gl/forms/Q9yc9h90nTqqAoa42 first prior to paying. If you choose to use PayPal, there is a sliding scale charge assessed to cover processing costs. You also have the option to send a check in to your child's school.

In order to arrange for adequate staffing at our elementary buildings, you must register and pay before the deadline for each late start day. You may pay for more than one late start day at a time and we will send reminder emails prior to each late start day.

Late starts provide valuable collaboration time for our teachers across the District and yet we understand these days can be a challenge for working parents especially. The supervision option was established to assist those parents who need it. Additional information about late start supervision for students in grades K-6, as well as the link to pay via PayPal, can be found on the District website: https://tinyurl.com/WSDlateSTARTS.

Cell Phone Rules at Wabash

We understand that students bring cell phones and other electronic devices to school.

Our school rules around cell phones & electronic devices are as follows:

1. Phones/devices stay turned off during school day.

2. Phones/devices remain in backpack during school.

3. Students may not carry phones/devices on them.

4. Teacher may give permission for it to be out, but all other rules apply when permission is not granted.

Students who fail to follow these guidelines will be sent to the office. Phones/devices will be kept in one of our Administrators' offices for the remainder of the school day.

Please review these guidelines with your child/children.
