Sherwood Middle School Open House This Evening
We are looking forward to meeting 4th grade students and families at our Open House for Incoming 5th Graders on Monday May 23rd (see times below).
- Floral, Spring, and Coolidge families: 5:00-6:00pm
- Beal and Paton families: 6:30-7:30pm
Students and families will gather in the gymnasium for a short overview of our program. Student led tours of the building will follow for those interested. Please park in the parking lots on either side of the school and enter through the main entrance.

Last Call for Bread Tags by Friday, June 3rd
As the school year winds down, our Student Leadership Team bread tag collection is coming to an end. Any bread tags lying around your kitchen? Send them in! We have been collecting them all year for use by the non-profit organization Danielle Cares for Chairs. Check out the website for more information.
World Central Kitchen Ukraine Fundraiser
For the Student Leadership Team’s final project of the year, we are collecting funds for World Central Kitchen from May 16 - May 27. You can bring in donations during morning arrival between 8:30 - 9:00 each day… and you’ll even receive a special sticker! Remember to work hard on chores and donate any amount of money you earn! Every cent counts! Thanks for supporting the people of Ukraine!
Final ELPAC Meeting for This Year
The final ELPAC (English Learner Parent Group) meeting of the year is May 25th, 6:30 - 7:30 PM on Zoom. ELPAC is open to parents/guardians of English Learners and former English Learners from all Shrewsbury Public Schools. Please come to learn more about ELPAC and help us plan for next year. Extended School Care for 2022-23
The Extended School Care program is now accepting registration for the 2022-2023 school year. We offer before-school and after-school programs for students in grades K-4 at all elementary schools (Beal, Coolidge, Floral, Paton, and Spring), as well as an after-school program at Sherwood Middle School for students in grades 5 and 6.
Enrollment is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Bus Registration for the 2022-23 School Year
We are pleased to announce the official opening of the 2022-2023 bus registration process. We have 3 important messages to highlight here:
THE BUS REGISTRATION PROCESS WILL BE OPEN FROM NOW ON UNTIL JUNE 30TH. IT WILL BE CLOSED FROM JULY 1, 2022 UNTIL EARLY AUGUST AND RE-OPEN ON APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 8TH.
1. Bus registration and payment must be done via the PowerSchool Parent Portal for students attending Shrewsbury Public Schools and via the Googleform for students attending Assabet Valley Reg. Technical High School and all private schools. There is no “processing charge/convenience fee” for online payment of the bus fee and both credit cards and debit cards are accepted.
2. All of the regulations and rules pertaining to bus ridership eligibility and the requirement to pay a fee are posted on our website under the Transportation link. Please read them carefully and access the FAQ if you have questions.
3. If your child has a negative food service account balance or owes a fee for some other additional service, then you will be blocked from bus registration until all overdue payments are made.
The bus fee for the 2022-2023 school year is $320/student with a $960 family cap.

New kindergarten student registration for the 2022-2023 school year is now open. If you plan to enroll your child in kindergarten for next year please complete the online student registration process by April 1st.
