Thank You

Thank you, Ashely Rae, for everything you do to help cancer patients within the community! Our students loved attending your presentation at Central and really enjoyed listening to you talk about your story and Foundation. We're so glad we can help the Cope Well Foundation with our PINK project. You do a fabulous job with the foundation! Your help throughout the community is greatly appreciated, keep up the good work!

GFC DECA's Pink Project

This year was our chapter’s third annual PINK Project. This project was designed to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for the Look Good Feel Good Foundation at Altru Health Center and the Cope Well Live Well Foundation. The project kicked off with the sale of pink t-shirts to be worn at the main pink event, a home volleyball game held October 21st. Other PINK OUT activities included a penny war within the school, a ‘fill the ribbon’ contest, selling strawberry root beer floats during lunch, pink themed cookie jars, and themed baskets that were raffled off at the volleyball game and parent teacher conferences. We also held activities to raise awareness. A panel of cancer survivors told their stories to classes throughout the school day in order to educate our students. This was a great way we could help the community and had a blast doing so!
