CPU
The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is also know as the processor or microprocessor. It is part of a computer. It carries out stored instructions that it's told to do. This is called Programming.
Types of memory: A Ram and ROM
RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It's a device that allows items to be read and written in the same amount of time no matter the order.
ROM stands for read-only memory. It's a class of storage used in computers and other devices. It's a type of 'build in' memory.
Hard Drive
Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is a date device which stores digital information. The disks are coated with magnetic material. Hard disk drive collects data even when it's off.
Motherboard
A motherboard is a piece of hardware. It is a circuit which contains components from a computer and other devices. It connects all the parts of a computer together.
CD Drive
CD Drive/Compact Disk-Recordable or Optical drive is a type of disk that can create CD-ROMs or audio CD's. These used to be really expensive but now the prices have dropped down a lot.
