Newsletter Week 3 Term 3

Meeanee School 10th August, 2022

MESSAGE FROM THE SWIVELLY CHAIR

I am so looking forward to watching my first Meeanee School Cross Country at Park Island on Thursday 25th August. For my first two years at school this has been interrupted by COVID-19 protocols. This year it would be great to see as many supporters (parents, grandparents....) as possible along to support our children. We expect all students to participate and try their best. If they follow our school value of perseverance we will be proud of them.

Today we have a visit from two 3rd year EIT students who are going to be in our school over the next 5 weeks starting Monday. We will attempt to introduce them in upcoming newsletters.

Our school uniform is looking very tidy at the moment apart from the odd non uniform hoody turning up. Please make sure though that footwear is appropriate for running.

Be Kind, Stay Safe,

POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING

This weeks PB4L focus is:

PERSEVERANCE

We keep trying with our work. We will learn that failure is okay and learn from that.

ASSEMBLY WINNERS

Thank You

A major thanks to Mike at Flushed Drainage for keeping our school running last week.

Every dealing we have had with Mike has been a really positive one. I would thoroughly recommend his service.

Art Inspiration on a Wet Day

Tui took the opportunity yesterday to do some unplanned art in the afternoon, while watching Toy Story 4.

We reused our lunchtime sporks (yes we did wash them), along with pipe cleaners, blu tack, and ice block sticks to create our own versions of the extremely popular Forky.
