Principal's Message
Hello Wildcat families,
Today I got to have lunch with some students, and it was so fun hearing their perspective on Wilson Creek and life in general. It made my day. We also had the excitement of the power going out. It's always interesting to see how people respond when things change, but I'm proud to say that our teacher's made the most of it. Ms. Forney rolled her easel into the hallway for more light and just kept teaching! When I asked other students what they did when the power was out they said, "we just kept going".
There are teachable moments all around us. It's important that when things don't go as planned, we model for students how to problem solve and maintain a positive attitude. It makes a difference.
All the best,
Stephanie Haga

Optional Parent Profession Survey
In an effort to establish partnerships that benefit our school, the Wilson Creek School Governance Council is interested to know more about what our parents and caregivers do professionally. As a council, we would like to be able to reach out to our school community directly to draw upon the vast resources that we know are within our school that could benefit our students! For example, help with STEAM Day, career presenters, classroom volunteers etc... Please take a few moments to answer the following questions. Thank you for your time and sharing your talents!
The survey will take approximately 4 minutes to complete.
Red Ribbon Week
Singing and Hockey…
…what do they have in common? The Wilson Creek 4th and 5th Grade Chorus Club, that’s what!
On Friday evening, October 21 the Chorus Club will be singing “God Bless America” for the Atlanta Gladiators hockey game at Gas South Arena in Duluth. It is a fun time to get together as WCES families, show off our singers, and watch and learn a pretty exciting sport! The chorus club receives a percentage of proceeds from the sale of the tickets. On the same night, the River Trail Middle School Chorus will be singing “O Canada”. It will be fun to be there at the same time as our neighborhood friends.
All Wilson Creek families are invited to join us at the game!
