This Week in First Grade...
Through the story of Jesus' Birth, first graders will be reminded that God keeps all His promises to us. They will learn about one of the most important promises of God and how He fulfilled that promise by sending Jesus.
- We will continue to build our foundational reading skills by building, blending and reading words with long vowel sounds.
- In math we will practice solving subtraction story problems and adding and subtracting within 20. We will also review dimes and telling time to the hour.
- We will wrap up a our science unit: Fish and Birds.

Sentence Dictation:

**This sentence will be dictated to the students for the test on Friday. Students are expected to spell each word of the sentence correctly and include the uppercase letter at the beginning and punctuation at the end.*
