Robert Hooke
Robert Hooke was the first person to see cells. He named them cells because they looked like a bunch of empty rooms. He was also known for being a philosopher and an architect.He was born on July 28th 1635 and died March 3rd 1703.
Theodor Schwann
Theodor Schwann was a German physiologist that helped make the cell theory along Matthias Schleiden. He was born on December 7th 1810 and died January 11th 1882.
Matthias Schleiden
Matthias Schleiden was a German botanist that worked with Theodor Schwann in making the cell theory. He was born on April 5th 1804 and died on June 23rd 1881.
