FORECASTING WEEK: February 12th - 16th
Raiders! It's time to start thinking about which classes you'd like to take next year. Our Counseling Department has been hard at work creating a week of important activities to walk students through the process of selecting classes. (See the schedule, below.) After forecasting week, counselors will meet individually with all 9th -11th grade students to finalize their choices and make sure they have a clear plan for next year.

Spring Sports!
Spring is nearly here, so it's time to gear up for another exciting season of sports here at Reynolds High School. With the warm weather comes the opportunity for our athletes to shine on the fields, courts, and tracks, showcasing their talent, dedication, and sportsmanship. Before our teams can hit the ground running, sports clearance is the first step, and we are here to help with that process.
Clearance for spring sports involves several important components:
· Physical Examinations: All athletes must undergo a comprehensive physical examination conducted by a licensed healthcare provider. This examination ensures that our athletes are in optimal health to engage in athletic activities. This can be completed at your family doctor or you can make an appt at the Reynolds Student Health Center at 503-988-3340 or at any school-based health center (Parkrose, David Dougals, Centennial, etc.)
· Completed Paperwork: In addition, athletes and their parents or guardians must complete and submit all necessary paperwork on our online clearance website FinalForms. This includes consent forms, emergency contact information, and any relevant medical history. Timely submission of paperwork is crucial to avoid delays in the clearance process. If you do not have an account already, parents/guardians will have to make their account first.
· Academic Eligibility: At Reynolds, we emphasize the importance of balancing academics with athletics. Therefore, student-athletes must meet the OSAA academic requirements to be eligible to participate in spring sports. Academic eligibility checks will be conducted to ensure that our athletes are maintaining satisfactory progress in their studies.
While the clearance process may seem daunting, if you have any questions or concerns regarding spring sports clearance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our athletic department. All the information can also be found on the Raider Athletic website: https://www.reynolds.k12.or.us/rhs/rhs-sports-registrationinformation
As we look forward to an exhilarating season of spring sports, let us remember the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance that define the spirit of athletics at Reynolds. Together, let's make this spring season one to remember!
