Toms
Toms shoes and how they have helped third world countries
Who started this company? Why? How did everything turn out?
Meet the founder of Toms Shoes! American traveler Blake Mycoskie, somebody who is american and travels all over the world, meeting different cultures and seeing new worlds. In 2006 however, Blake went to Argentina for one of his travels. He started to meet the people there and saw that the children had no shoes to protect their feet. In Argentina, no shoes no education, and probably lots of bad cuts and infections in their future. Well, wanting to help, Blake went back to America to brainstorm. His turnout was Toms Shoes! Every time someone bought a pair of Toms shoes, Toms would give a pair to a child in need. One for One. So, once Blake started making them and producing them,People started buying them. Eventually, later that year, Blake returned to Argentina with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by Toms customers. One for One!
