Hello Amazing Families of Heights,

Please read below to stay informed about upcoming events at Madison Heights.

Movie Night - Friday, April 21

We are looking forward to a great movie night tonight, featuring the movie Luca. Remember to visit the cafeteria to see the Art Show. As a reminder, there will be food trucks and themed baskets to raffle. The baskets are coming together nicely and have a lot of valuable items in them. Remember to bring your lawn chairs or blankets and set them up in a spot to watch the movie on the field. Thank you to C&S Sporting Goods for sponsoring this event!

Lockdown Drill

Please check your emails for a letter that was sent home on Thursday, 4/20/21 to notify you of a lockdown drill that we will be having during the week of April 24th. (Link to letter) We are required to have three lockout/lockdown drills during the school year. The first two drills were a lockout, where all doors are locked and everyone keeps teaching and learning. In a lockdown drill, teaching stops and we instruct students to move away from the classroom doors and windows. Please take time to read the letter that was sent home for more information if you have not already done so.

Día del Niños - April 28, 2023

Many countries around the world have a dedicated day to celebrate Children’s Day. In Spanish speaking countries this day is called Día del Niños. Children’s Day is celebrated on different days from country to country, and at Heights we will be celebrating Día del Niños on Friday, April 28. In many Spanish speaking countries this is a day to celebrate children with cultural activities. Our celebration at Heights is as follows:

Student Showcase Night - April 26, 2023, 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Please join us this Wednesday for our Student Showcase Night. This is an event where students lead parents through topics and skills they have learned throughout the year. We are staggering the start times for this event by last name. This allows us to minimize the crowding in the classroom so that families can sit at the tables and participate in their students' explanations of what they have learned throughout the year. It also helps tremendously with traffic and parking. Thank you for adhering to this schedule.

  • Families with Last Names:

    • A-D: 5:00 - 5:30 pm

    • E-K: 5:30 - 6:00 pm
