Merry Christmas
The story of Christmas was truly more like this than we like to think. Mary probably had a different view of how her life would be. That first Christmas was magical and amazing, but oh, so hard for Mary and Joseph. But even in the tough situation that Mary and Joseph found themselves, God had a plan, and it was truly amazing.
As we face this Christmas, remember that God has a plan. In the midst of the aftermath of the hurricane, He has a plan. In the midst of loneliness, He has a plan. His plans are not what we thought they would be, but He is constantly working to do good in our lives that will glorify Him!
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
My prayer for you in this most beautiful and sometimes difficult Christmas season is that you will truly know that Jesus is your Savior, and that He will walk you through anything that you may be going through. Trust His plan.

Help support our 8th Grade Trip with a Parents Night out for the Holidays!
The 8th grade trip this year is to St. Augustine over Spring Break. St. Augustine is the first permanent settlement in America. It is rich in culture, history, and godly influences. To assist in raising funds and as a service project, our eighth grade students will be offering a parent's night out on Friday, December 9th, from 6-9:30pm in the Elementary Chapel. Age range for this will be 3 years old to 5th grade.
Parents, you can drop off your kiddos and do some last-minute Christmas shopping, or enjoy a kid free dinner! We will not be setting a price, but donations are greatly appreciated! Please send an email to Genna Futch with your name and names of children that will be attending. Snacks will be offered, but not a full meal. Please contact Genna at: gennafutch@live.com
* 8th grade parents*: We are still looking for 2 more parent volunteers as well as a few kid volunteers to help out with this event. If you and/or your child can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Please let us know ASAP gennafutch@live.com

So grateful for all the parents that helped to make the Thanksgiving feast amazing. Thank you to Barb and her crew for making a delicious meal. Thank you to the teachers for their support as well. Such a blessing to celebrate Thanksgiving like this with all of our students together. We have much to be grateful for.
Science Fair
Science Fair will be on December 15, in the Colonial Chapel. Judging will take place starting at 12. Parents are welcome to attend this event after the judging is finished around 1:30.

Eagles Athletic Information
Ms. Grannis is in the process of planning for our upcoming Eaglets Soccer Program. This will begin on Monday, February 6th and will last until the end of April. Practices will be held on Monday and Thursday from 3pm-4pm. We are in need of a few coaches to help run this program, help with practices, and other coaching tasks. Ideally, we would like to have two individuals help with the K-2 group, and two individuals to help with the Grades 3-4 group. Any parent or family member that is willing to help will be waived of the fee to participate in the program. Therefore, if you have two children and one family member helps with the program, one child will participate free of charge. If you or anyone in your family would be interested in helping out, please let me know by Friday, December 17th. Sign-ups for Eaglets Soccer will begin on Monday, January 2nd.. so I would like to meet with all of the coaches before if possible.
MS Homework Policy Change
There has been a change in our homework policy in Middle School. Homework will be accepted up until the last 3 weeks of a quarter, which this quarter would be November 18.
If it is turned in after the original due date, 30% will be taken off of the score earned. This means that if a students gets a 100% on their assignment, their final score would be 70%.
Anything that is assigned after November 18, will need to be turned in by the Friday before exam week, December 9. Same policy above will be applied.
We want to encourage our students to do the work in order to learn the material. If they receive no points for the work, there is no incentive to do the work.
If you have any questions about this new policy, please reach out to one of your child's MS teachers.
Elementary Only Special Dress Days
Special dress days are meant to add a flavor of fun to our Elementary experience. They are not required. If you are not choosing to participate, your child should follow the normal school dress for that day.
December 16- Christmas Theme Dress Day
January 12- Western Dress Day
February 9- Sport Shirt Day
March 2- Dr. Seuss' Birthday
April 14 - Book Character Day
May 4- Star Wars Day
