REMINDER NEWS
FRESHMEN LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Nominated students will have a chance to work with other peers to develop leadership skills, work together under the watchful eye of a volunteer mentor of the Savannah Jaycees and Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership, hear from amazing community speakers, and think about how to make a positive change in their community. This event is free to all participants. Space is limited to three students from each school. The program is scheduled from 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 23 at 101 Atlas St next to Rambam Day School.

FBLA Leadership Team Applications 2022-2023

Due to the pandemic of the last two years, we are doing a complete reboot of FBLA and therefore all students are eligible to apply for a leadership position--even if you have not been in FBLA in the past. Remember, FBLA is open to all students. It looks great on a college resume, you learn leadership skills, make lifelong connections with students here and across the nation, you can earn scholarships, and so much more. So take the challenge.

National Honor Society Weekly Updates
Seniors can purchase their Graduation Stole in School Cash. Stole must be purchased by
April 11. Members cost $15 plus fees.
Seniors must have all their service projects credits completed by May 1 to be awarded a HONOR CORD to be worn with stole at graduation at the Senior and Officer installation banquet on May 9th, 6pm. --Molly McGuire's

Tybee Beach Cleanup is on March 20th at 5 pm. Sign up posted on Google Classroom
Feed the Homeless at Forsyth Park through Relentless Grace. April 10 This non profit organization has been feeding the homeless every Sunday at 1 p.m. Approx 200 people. We will provide food and servers. They have water, tents, and utensils. We are looking for grills we can take to the park to grill hamburgers and hot dogs. Any parent wanting to help or donate , please contact Ms. Livingston 912-508-4777. Signups for food and servers is in Ms. Livingston’s room.

COVID Notification and Absence
Temporary Virtual Learning for Students Isolating or Quarantined
- Synchronous Learning Support: Students should login to attend their courses LIVE virtual tutorial on subject specific days. Teachers will have the LIVE virtual tutorial link located on their itsLeanring or on their online platform. Students must sign up to attend.
- (Monday: Math and W. Language, Tuesday: Soc. Studies, CTAE, ELA Thursday: Science, Arts, HPE)
- Asynchronous Learning Support: Students should login to itsLearning or teacher's online platform to access their courses' instructional resources, videos, recorded lessons and assignments. Specific instructions will be provided for students to review, reference, and complete tasks.
Note: Students are expected to attend virtually if they are well enough to login and complete assignments.
2021- 2022 Yearbooks on Sale Now
2022 yearbooks can be purchased at yearbookordercenter.com (school code: 10915). Early bird special price of $70 until August 31. Price increases to $80 September 1.
**Seniors: A personalized yearbook is included in your senior dues (if paid in full by December 1, 2020). Please do not order a yearbook online at this time.
USG Offers Temporary Option for Fall 2022 Admission
For Fall Semester, the remaining institutions have two options to make admission decisions:
1. Use existing freshman index that includes test scores for either the SAT or ACT.
2. Allow students to apply for Fall 2022 admission without submitting ACT or SAT scores.
Students must still meet all other admission requirements, including adjusted minimum grade point average eligibility thresholds for each USG sector, which are as follows: 3.4 for research universities, 3.2 for comprehensive universities and 3.0 for state universities. State colleges have open admission policies and accept all qualified applicants.Students who have SAT/ACT scores may still submit them, and test scores are required to apply for Zell Miller scholarships. The test optional path is not available for dual enrollment. Students applying for dual enrollment must still meet existing admissions requirements.

At this time Savannah Tech has several 8 week programs. Gulfstream is forgoing the interview process with the potential of direct hire once the class is completed!

Interested in Dual Enrollment 2022-2023?
The Dual Enrollment program provides for high school students who are earning dual credit by being enrolled at a participating eligible public or private high school, or home study program in Georgia, and a participating eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia. These students take postsecondary coursework for credit towards both high school graduation or home study completion and postsecondary requirements. If you are interested in pursuing this program and believe you fall under the eligibility criteria, please contact your counselor for more information:
