Souper Bowl of Caring Kick-Off
It's once again time for the Souper Bowl of Caring. This year NTH@C has been selected as one of three kick-off locations in Texas for the Super Bowl of Caring campaign. The kick-off event will occur at 9:00 am on January 19, in the NTH@C gym.
The annual food drive has begun and will take place through Friday, January 15, 2016. All food will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank. Learners can bring their donated food to their science facilitators.

Counseling Update
For All Learners:
How do you deal with your stress? Do you wish you could have help on finding coping skills? On January 21 and 22, New Tech will provide your child with the opportunity to figure out how stressed they really are and learn some copings skills on how to deal with the day to day stressors. On January 8th, your learner received a packet of information about TeenScreen. TeenScreen is a nationally-recognized program developed by Columbia University to identify risk factors associated with depression, anxiety, and alcohol and substance abuse. The program is free and completely voluntary and confidential. The consent forms are due next Wednesday, January 13th. Even if you choose for your child not to participate in the program, please return the consent forms.
Sophomores and Juniors:
Starting on Jan. 7, students over 13 will be able to see their PSAT/NMSQT® and PSAT™ 8/9 score reports from the September–November 2015 administrations in the
online score reporting portal. Students must create their own personal College Board login. Students will be able to access their scores and AP Potential information.
Juniors and Seniors:
North Lake College registration closes
at 5:00pm on Wednesday, January 13th. If your child has not completed the North Lake registration yet, please ask them to go into the google form below and complete the documentation. Please remember your child must go into the North Lake website to find

Juniors and Seniors:
Mrs. Cole needs a copy of your Official North Lake College Transcript by 4:00pm on Thursday, January 15th. So if you completed a North Lake Class in the Fall, or you have never turned in a North Lake transcript with your completed courses and grades. Thank you.
Rising Seniors (Current Juniors):
Please mark your calendars!!! There is a college presentation at CHS in their auditorium from 6:00pm-8:00pm on January 19th 2016. This is a great opportunity to start thinking about your future plans after high school.
Graduating Seniors - Financial Aid Presentation:
Texas A&M University representatives will be here at New Tech on Thursday, January 28th from 6:30pm-7:30pm in our cafeteria to discuss financial aid for all colleges and universities. This is a great opportunity for parents and learners to get information from college admissions representatives about different ways to cover college tuition cost.
