Updates and Reminders

Eastview Elementary School - May 13, 2016

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone that was able to help with kindergarten registration. The fact that I didn't have to ask for a single volunteer, and we still had more than enough people to take care of everything says a lot about the dedication all of you have to our kiddos and the success of our school. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Jones for planning and organizing this event. Everything went off without a hitch!

If you see Stacy, be sure to congratulate her! She has finished the psychology degree at IU East! Thanks to someone very close to her sharing with me, I found out that she is graduating with High Distinctive Honors! We are so proud of you, Stacy!

Finally, as many of you know, there are going to be a number changes in our Eastview family at the end of this school year. Annette, Desiree, Joy, and Michelle will be leaving us for new ventures in their lives. Thank you all for your service to our kiddos and the positive impact you have had on our school. We want to wish you all much joy and happiness as you begin new chapters in your careers and lives.

Thank you all for your support!

EOY Conferences for All Staff

I would like to meet with support staff on Monday and Tuesday to review end of the year evaluations. Please stop by the office at your convenience.

Unless we have already scheduled a time, I would like for teachers to stop by during planning times on Wednesday or Thursday morning to review EOY evaluations.

I've kept my schedule pretty open during those 4 days. Please remember that I must meet with everyone before summer break.

How are we growing in these areas?

  • Relationships
  • Clearly defined purpose for everything we do
  • Time on Task
  • Authentic Learning

  • Remember to send change of transportation notes to the office in the am.

  • Students are to go home their routine way unless there is a phone call or

note to change that. If a student is adamant there is change, please contact parent before the end of the day to verify.

  • Please remember to let both Brenda and I know if you are going to be out for a sick or personal day. Please do not just put this in Aesop without letting us both know. An email to both of us is fine.

To Do

  • Please see "End-of-Year Checklist"

  • Class lists are due by Friday, May 13. We will review/discuss this process and the expectations on Monday.

  • All Staff Members - Please complete the survey emailed to you.
