Have you ever thought of joining a sports team but didn't think there would be any benefits or possibly it would even hurt you academically? Or did you maybe think that you won't make any friends on the team? Or it will kill your confidence if you lose? While I am here to tell you that I was that exact person before I signed up and wow was i wrong! Science has also proven all of these wrong! So what are you waiting for? Speak to any of the many coaches, gym teachers, or student athletes and get out there!

My Personal Expierience

It was only after a lot of nagging from both my friends and family that I came out to spring training for football in grade 9. I was terrified, stressed and worried but It was an Absolutely amazing experience. I couldn't wait for the fall to come and get back onto the field. My teammates became my brothers in the fall of grade 10 (which is probably a good thing because I was with them for over two hours everyday for 3 months straight) and the coaches became my parents. It was the best decision of my life to play High School football. I however never imagined myself playing a second sport though however two seniors on the football team recruited me to play for the rugby team come spring. Again, an amazing experience and great decision. The comrade-re on those teams was amazing and I ended up in such better shape. The benefits are an incredibly long list and the negatives are non existent. I have finished my second year of football and am now in the middle of my second year of rugby, just as amazing as the years before.

If I could say anything to people who want to play but aren't sure I would say come out and give it a try, you'll love it, I promise.
