Our School Year Is Over 100 Days Old!
With us halfway through our year, it is a great time to check in with your child to hear about their goals for the remainder of the year, their recent successes, new interests, as well as what challenges they feel they are facing. They have so much to share, but often need a nudge to talk about their day!

The Importance of Setting Goals and Working Toward Success.
These students are learning how to use data to determine what a good learning goal will be for them, how they will measure their success, and how they will work to achieve it. They also check in frequently on their progress so they know if what they are doing is working. Our goal setting begins early in the year, and when we achieve our goals, we celebrate our great work, then look for our next focus to get even stronger than we were before.
We are so proud of our students' engagement and ownership of their personal learning. These are important experiences for our children to achieve to their fullest potential now and in the future.
Anxiety or Inattention?
We are grateful to Sycamore Community School leaders for recognizing this important topic, and creating an opportunity for us all to learn together.
