Micro Elementary Parent Newsletter
October 2018
Message from Principal Parrish
Dear Parents,
The 2018-2019 is underway! It is an honor to serve your children. Our staff is here for you! We work extremely hard to make Micro Elementary the small school where BIG things happen!
Please help us out by taking this reading survey that our school improvement team will analyze the results of to help improve our school.
Johnston County Schools is included in the Presidential Declaration of Disaster from Hurricane Florence. What that means for us is that beginning Monday, October 1st, ALL students can receive a breakfast or lunch at NO CHARGE. The No Charge meals will end on October 31 2018. This will be for meals only. Students are allowed to still purchase extra items and adults are still allowed to purchase items or a meal.
If we can help you in anyway, please reach out to us.
Thank you!
Mr. Parrish

Our school has two Wildly Important Goals that we will focus on as a school.
1. Help students develop a love of reading.
2. Provide students with meaningful and personalized learning experiences.
Research shows that students who enjoy reading are more successful in school. We also want to provide our students with "real world" learning experiences that make content come alive.
