Update to Protocol for Close Contacts

We would like you to be aware of the protocol that CREC will be using to determine which students need to quarantine when they are identified as close contacts of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.

Students who are close contacts but who have been fully vaccinated will not need to quarantine unless they are symptomatic. They may continue to attend school but must wear masks for 14 days. While all students will be masked here at school, the recommendation would be that vaccinated people who are exposed should wear masks outside of school as well.

Students who are close contacts and who have not been vaccinated will need to quarantine for ten days following the exposure. They may not attend school. If a quarantined student receives a negative Covid test on the fifth or later day after exposure and remains symptom-free, the quarantine may be shortened to seven days.

Final Forms Email from Jon Winer, Athletic Director

CREC Athletics - Final Forms

Good day, CREC Families!

I hope this email finds you well and that you are having an enjoyable fall.

As we look ahead to the winter season, registration will open for winter sports on Friday, October 1.

CREC Athletics will continue to utilize Final Forms for all preseason student-athlete registration. I have included links to the parent playbook for Final Forms registration in English and Spanish below as well a video tutorial on how to complete the parent registration. All of this has also been posted onto the CREC Athletics page.

Please also note the start dates for our winter sport seasons:

High School Girls Basketball: November 29

High School Boys Basketball and Indoor Track: December 2

Middle School Basketball and Indoor Track: December 13

Once a parent has created an account, they can begin completing the forms. The student will also need to create an account after the parent has created theirs.

All athletes will need completed registration in order to participate and a current physical on file (physicals are valid for 13 months).

Please reach out with questions. Thank you and have a great rest of the fall.

Free Meals Extended for the 2021-2022 School Year

Windsor Food Service Students (All AAE Middle and High School Students) meal fees have been waived for the 2021-22 school year. This means that there is no fee for students to order breakfast and lunch.

It is important that if your family qualifies for free and reduced meals that you still complete the paperwork and submit it to the school so your child can receive the other benefits (such as reduced AP test price) associated with the program. Please see forms attached.
