Weekly Announcements & Updates
*We now have an After-School Tutoring Program run by NACEE!!! It will be every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:40-5:00 in room 112. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
*Huntsville City schools is challenging ALL students, faculty, and staff to be present on Thursday, September 29th! We want to see 100% attendance across the district in honor of Attendance Month! Help Lee High win the HCS Attendance Spirit Stick!
*Attention Lee High School students! The Lee/New Century HOSA Club will be sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, September 29th from 8:00am-3:00pm. All students 16 and older can sign up to donate blood. 16 year old students will need to get a permission slip signed by their parents. Permission slips can be picked up from Nurse Glass, the Health Science teacher. Each donor will receive a slice of pizza while it lasts!
*Attention Seniors & Senior Families! Mark your calendars for our 2022 FAFSA Night! It will be Tuesday, October 11th in the Cafeteria. Free dinner will be served and assistance in completing the FAFSA will be provided. Please remember that the FAFSA is now a graduation requirement in the state of Alabama. Please plan to take advantage of this amazing opportunity!
*There will be a Pancake Breakfast benefitting the Lee High School Track Team on Saturday, October 15th between 6:00am and 11:00am in the school cafeteria. Please drive around the back of the school and come in through the rear cafeteria doors. Pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and milk, juice, or coffee will be served. The cost is $12.00 per ticket and tickets can be purchased from any member of the track team.
Shout-Outs
- Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from last week! Bryan Arrieta comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee, he is a member of the JROTC program. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games. He is undecided on what he wants to do after graduating from Lee. Kairi Pierce came to us from the Academy for Science & Foreign Language Middle School. Here at Lee, they are a member of the Creative Writing Magnet. After graduating from Lee, they want to go to college to become an author or a therapist. Congratulations to both of them for living out our #FamiLEE values so well!
