Holiday Gift Drive
No pressure to participate, but if you'd like to contribute to our annual gift drive, here is the info. Thanks Amanda for organizing!:
Our annual Sponsor-A-Family Holiday Gift Drive is here! This is an initiative where all three schools in our building (MS 113, Compass, PS 372) come together to support families in our school communities who are in need during the holiday season.
You can visit the link HERE to sign up to donate an item or gift card. You can also donate money via cash/check (please place in the FSC mailbox outside Amanda's office in the community room) or Square cash (donate online via Squarecash with 'holidaysponsor' in the notes section). Monetary donations will be used to purchase items that are not purchased by 12/18.
We are grateful for any donations that you are able to make, no matter how small. Donations (gifts should be unwrapped) can be brought to the Compass Main Office (Room 431, 4th floor) on or beforeFriday, December 18, 2015.
If you have any questions about the gift drive, please email amanda@brooklyncompass.org. Thank you for helping us to brighten the holiday season for those in need in our school community.
Fire Department Visit: Citations and Things to Keep in Mind
- Any items that are hanging form the ceiling need to be taken down. This includes student work and fabric. Sorry :(.
- Work displayed in hallways should not be covering more than 20% of the wall. The fire marshal who recently evaluated us said that work can't be on walls other than on bulletin boards. We are working on getting more bulletin boards because we think that we are lacking a bunch. Feel free to hang student work in the meantime, but try not to coat the walls with it.
