RCC Orientation for High School Students
(This is copied from an email students received on August 12, 2020)
The following are instructions on how to participate in a very special orientation session for high school students attending RCC. If you are a new student, this is an AMAZING resource to better understand how to navigate the campus and its resources.
Each section contains video and in-depth instructions on how to access things like Moodle, Self-Service, and so much more!
As a returning student, this may be helpful to refresh on how to navigate the virtual campus.
Once you have accessed this course, you will be able to refer back to it at any time within the Moodle portal.
Please follow these steps to complete your orientation course in Moodle:
Step 1: Click on Accessing the CCP Orientation Course and follow the steps to enroll in the course.
Step 2: If prompted for your username and password, please use the username and password that you use for Moodle. If you need to find those, please follow the instructions in Enrolling RCC Accounts.
Step 3: Complete the course by clicking on each topic, items within the topics, knowledge checks, assignments, and final assessment by August 21st. (Mandatory)
The RCC Fall semester will begin August 17th: to provide you with additional resources and support for the coming semester, we have prepared the above online orientation as previously mentioned when you registered for classes. You will access this orientation through Moodle (which is also where you will be accessing your college courses). Please follow the directions we have provided in this email for accessing Moodle and the orientation course.
This orientation is mandatory and must be completed between now and the Friday of the first week of classes (8/21). You can be withdrawn from your classes if you do not complete the modules within the orientation!
We will also be hosting a live question and answer session that you and your parents are invited to on Monday, 8/17 and on Thursday, 8/20 from 6 p.m to 7 p.m. RCC representatives will be in this live session to provide support after you complete the online orientation. Please follow this link to access this live session:
