Jane Fairfax is the gentle little lamb of the novel. She is stunningly beautiful and can sing like an angel. She is also related to Miss Bates and goes to visit them. Everyone loves Jane because is perfect. Even Isabella Knightley says, "That amiable, sweet Jane Fairfax!" (Austen 101). Jane was orphaned when she was young. Colonel Campbell took care good care of her (157). She also can sew, sing, play the piano, and is about to start teaching (158). Se really did land in the right hands or else she may or may not have been quite this successful.
