FFA Christmas Party

Big picture
The FFA Christmas Party was a blast making blankets! We made 11 blankets to donate to the local women's shelter.

Livestock Updates!

Broiler Pick-Up Day

If you ordered NETLA broilers, they will be delivered on Thursday, January 14, 2021. I will know a pick-up time as the date gets closer. I will send out an email to all broiler exhibitors on Friday, December 18th about getting pen ready and feeding plan.

What does your animal weigh?

We will have a weigh day when we return from Christmas break for lambs, goats and pigs. You need to weigh your animals at the beginning of January to make sure they are on track for the NETLA show.

NETLA Dairy Classic Validation

Validation for NETLA dairy classic heifers will be on January 9, 2021 at Cattlemen's Veterinary clinic from 10-12 am. If you have any questions please let me know.

Livestock Judging

Livestock judging is a process of evaluating, selecting, placing, and learning the various livestock species–beef cattle, sheep, goats and swine.

We will start Livestock Judging practice when we return from Christmas break on Wednesdays after school from 3:30-4:30 pm. Livestock judging is open to all FFA members and Jr FFA members.

Feb 20th - San Angelo Livestock Judging Contest (open to all members)

March & April CDE Contests for high school members.

Dairy Judging

Dairy judging is a process of evaluating, selecting, placing, and learning about dairy cattle while having fun and developing other skills such as public speaking and critical thinking.

We will start Dairy Judging practice when we return from Christmas break. A date has not been decided yet. Although there are not any dairy judging contests posted right now, dairy judging practice is open to all FFA members and Jr FFA members. If a Jr FFA member is interested in dairy cattle or dairy judging, they are welcome to join.

March & April CDE Contests are available for high school members.
