Mangroves
By: Sabrina Jackson and Moises A. Pena
Introduction
My project is based on Mangroves and it's ecosystem. A lot of small creatures live in my ecosystem. It is a large trees up to medium height surrounding in water. Mangroves are found/located along the Atlantic coast they are found from Florida all the way down to Argentina. Mangroves grow on both the western and eastern coasts of Africa.
Helping
This is a group of people that care about the environment. And helping plant more trees for the Mangroves enviorment

Mangroves Plants
This plant is called the Coral Reef plant in lives in Mangroves.
American Crocodile
This creature is a vulnerable endangered species. They are mostly found in coastal habitats such as lagoons and mangroves but also inhabit freshwater.
Water: Florida's Lifeblood
Water is very important because if there was no water then most of the species they live there would probably be close to extinct. Because they won't have any where else to live that almost the same. And then it would be a regular forest. So people would not be able to play sports using the ecosystem, for example people use the ecosystem as fishing and kayaking.
Human Impacts
Good Impacts:
- In florida it is against the law to remove mangroves without a permit from local government
- People plant mangroves to help slow down erosion of th shore
- The swamps and forest are suffering from pollution due to oil spills, pesticides, and industrial chemicals
- Swamps/forests are being destroyed for fuel wood, wood chips, pulp, etc.
