Early Childhood Education
The District 33 preschool program recently received the results of the 2021 and 2022 Preschool for All (PFA) and Preschool for All Expansion (PFAE) monitoring visits. The PFA/PFAE classrooms in all three locations achieved the Gold Circle of Quality, the highest rating given by the state.
The preschool program has previously been recognized in the Gold Circle of Quality, and we are proud of the staff who have worked to uphold this rating.
This monitoring visit looked at various aspects of our program, including:
- curriculum,
- student files,
- screening procedures,
- assessment,
- community collaboration,
- licensure,
- professional development, and
- classroom learning environment.
The classroom learning environment factors include
- classroom layout,
- language and literacy instruction,
- earning activities,
- interactions among students,
- interaction between students and staff, and
- overall program structure.
We are proud of the nine teachers who had monitors in their classrooms for several hours evaluating them.
