Christmas Lights Web Quest

How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?
Independent Variable: Which type of circuit we are using
Dependent Variable: How the lights react
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit, then when one bulb burts, the other bulbs will light up.
In this parallel circuit all the bulbs are lit up.
In this parallel circuit, even though one bulb is burst the other bulbs still light up.
If other Christmas lights are arranged in a series circuit, then when one bulb busts the other bulbs will not light up.
All the bulbs in this series circuit are lit.
When only one bulb from this series circuit burns out, the rest also stop working.
When one bulb burns out on a parallel circuit, then the rest still work fine. But when one bulb burns out on a series circuit, the rest quit working too. Therefore, parallel circuits would be the best for Christmas lights.
