A Message from our Principal
At this morning’s prayer service, we talked about why there are 40 days of Lent and why we put up the ALLELUIA for Lent. The students were also asked to continue living the 3 disciplines of Lent: praying more; giving more, especially to those who are in need, and fasting.
The Gospel that we read today was about forgiveness. Jesus gave us very clear instructions about what was most important in life: to love God and to love one another. This may sound simple but we know it is not easy. Lent is a time set aside by our Church to encourage us to think about our own lives and how we show our love for God and love for one another.
Congratulations to Mia Flores she was selected as First Chair, Flute, Texas Private School Music Education Association (TPSMEA), DFW North Region.
March 3 --- DFW/North Region TPSMEA Solo Contest at Greenhill School in Addison. Good luck to all our musicians.
Lost and Found – We have a very large number of sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoodies to be claimed. Please stop by and check the cafeteria.
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve

CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES RICE BOWL
When it is cold outside.....
Just a reminder-
The diocese of FW policy from the Health Manual reads: “If temperature and/or wind chill is 32 degrees or below, the students should be kept indoors for PE and recess. When the temperature is above 32 degrees, the children should be properly dressed for outdoor activity.”
Traditionally, at Holy Family “properly dressed” has been defined as:
When temp/wind chill (ie real feel) is 33-40 degrees: jacket with sweater/sweatshirt required to go outside.
Temp/real feel 41-50 degrees: sweater/sweatshirt required to go outside
Temp/real feels 51+ degrees: sweater/sweatshirt – would like them to have one but may be some leeway.
Thank you, Holy Family parents, for sending the appropriate garment(s) so that children may go outside when appropriate.
